This recipe is for Black Bean Brownies, a little spin on a classic recipe including black beans and oats with all ingredients combining into a food processor! This recipe is made for beginners as well can be vegan friendly!
I enjoy this recipe the most for its minimal amount of dishes! Besides a couple measuring spoons, measuring cups and a spatula, everything is dishwasher friendly and makes for an easy clean-up!
I will be honest the brownies have a bit different texture and taste compared to a classic brownie recipe with cocoa and flour. However, they’re still delicious and have made many of my friends happy with a yummy brownie for dessert or a special snack.
The ingredient list is fairly simple – flour being replaced by oats and black beans creating a glue to hold the ingredients altogether! As well, using maple syrup or honey to replace white or brown sugar provides a more nutrition to the brownie while still making it sweet!
This recipe has the ability to be made for vegans, using maple syrup as the sugar and finding vegan friendly chocolate chips or using carob chips in the recipe! Great for parties where you can make a batch for all friends at the party!
